Hey All - my wife and I will be headed out on the Continental Divide Trail next week.

Our plan is to thru hike the CDT beginning in southern Montana walking north to Canada and then flipping back to the start point and walk south to the Mexico border. Should be roughly 5 months.

This hike is special for us as it will complete our hikes of the Triple Crown Trails.

Our original plans had us starting in April, but we held tight during the period when the states have been on lockdown.

We will be keeping a daily journal with photos on our website:

As with any trail where we feel there is a reasonable chance of hammock camping much of the trip, we will be hanging. Two friends that we met on the PCT in 2016 will also be hiking and hanging with us.

We all use a simple system that We have used for several years to manage the odd night here and there where hangs are not to be found:

I am really looking forward to being outside for this long chunk of time
