After 8 years of not sleeping in a tent, I'm obviously sold on the hammock. My back pain is never there in the morning, it's easy to find a camp site and it's just fun. And I just got another reminder...

I set my brand new MSR Hubba up last night. I purchased it about 7 years ago and NEVER used it. I set it up to test maybe twice in that time. I'll be bringing it on a river trip in addition to the hammock in a few weeks just in case. Camp spots will be iffy for both.

I found the seam sealing tape was all dried up and cracked on the rain fly. I could reseal it, but I think I'll just give it a go.

And sleeping on a pad...I honestly don't know what to do with my arms!!! Where do I put them as a side sleeper? At least the one on the bottom; it will fall asleep within a minute. I may be forced to sleep on my back or stomach. So I'm praying for trees every night of this trip!
