2019 Secret Santa (spaceweasel) Official Thread!!!

rais'n hammock has run this the past couple of years, but I haven't heard from him and wanted to get this going.

NOTE: Hammock Forums is in no way responsible for the swaps and will not engage should there be issues. Items given and on wishlists should be primarily hammock & camping related. We have been given permission to run this exchange in the main forums, but if there are issues, this thread will be moved to the Donating Members forums. Let’s play nice and enjoy the fun.

Time's a'wastin! Let's get this party started...

Christmas comes but once a year- Let's join in some holiday cheer!

The time has come for the 2019 Secret Santa (Spaceweasel) exchange! (HERE is a link to last years thread for those who are asking why spaceweasel) We had a great time last year and many happy Spaceweasles.

Same rules/guidelines as in the past:

1. Decide if you want in (you know you do)
2. Post your intention to participate in this thread
3. PM me (jdy98p) your name and mailing & email address
4. ** Add your name to the spreadsheet HERE along with your wish list (Finished Goods/DIY) and fill in the other columns.
5. The deadline for signups is Midnight, EST, November 26. Names will be drawn and distributed in time for Black Friday Shopping.
6. The spreadsheet wishlist is just that - a wishlist. You can shop straight from the wish list or try to figure out what your SS recipient would like based on their forum activity (Be careful! If you visit the member page of your SS recipient, they can tell you were snooping!)
7. Send your package! (it must be received by Christmas, so plan ahead!)
8. You must wait till Christmas to open your package!
9. After Christmas, post your haul!

Here are a few more points of explanation from historical threads:

– You are expected to keep up with the spreadsheet (address PM'd, gift received, etc). I will try to police this, but it's mostly on the honor system.

– Your wish list can contain anything you want, but understand your buyer may only want to spend $10 on you. Some forum members have been incredibly generous in the past, but understand some are on tight budgets. You can say things like, "I like stoves", or, "I would like 10 yards of RSBR's new hammock fabric", or even, "Surprise me!"

– Standard shipping option should be USPS medium flat-rate box.

– All efforts should be made to ship your box so that it arrives in time for Christmas.

– The return postage on the box should be left blank or listed as "Secret Spaceweasel" or some other pseudonym of your choice. This is a secret!!

– If you open your package before Christmas, you must post a video of yourself singing the 12 Days of Spaceweasel – Example Video for those who want to start warming up their voices.

– After you have opened your gift, post a list of your haul. Pics are even better!!
