I'm very happy with AAA.
I also enjoy Fish eating Creek in Florida but that requires flight.
Hanging in the woods, paddlin and catching trout- My kind of living...
Gotta go with Shug BWCA and Isle Royale
So many places, but camping high on a peak is my favorite because of the lofty views and dramatic sunrises and sunsets.
Sunrise over Giant Ledge, Catskill Mtns, NY. The night before this was my first actual full night camping with a hammock, Chameleon with a HG Quest tarp!
Sunset from Pharaoh Mountain, Adirondacks, NY, which has what might be the coolest campsite in the NE that is hammock-friendly, literally about a 20 second walk from this sunset!
Mt. Marcy, Adirondacks, NY... a fun and fairly easy peak to do when the weather cooperates in the winter, which quite often it doesn't. Down in the valleys there's oodles of good hammock camping opportunities.
