I've been backpacking and camping most of my adult life (originally from California), but only got into hammocks around 4 years ago, when tamedog (who just introduced himself below) and I got our first Enos.
I've always struggled with getting good sleep while camping, despite having quality gear, and while tamedog quickly moved on to sleeping in his hammock, I was hesitant because I liked the idea of space and privacy, and already owned an expensive tent-based ecosystem.
Eventually, the desire for better sleep won out, and I finally took the plunge on a Warbonnet system last Black Friday.
Currently running a single layer XLC, silpoly Mountainfly Tarp, HG underquilt and some Dutch hardware.
I've only used it once this season, but can't wait to experiment and dial it in more, as well as get some good tips and inspiration via this forum.
