Seminal Threads Archive
We are coming here with a noble salvaging idea: compiling a list of links to the most interesting past threads of this community. I am a rather recent member, but some of the "old timers" could and sometimes do excavate gold.
I am therefore calling on them to recall the glorious times of their past, so these long debated ideas, finally settled or abandoned as a new fashion emerged and obscured the previous one are not lost forever, as we all know fashions come and go.
Some are not fashions but eternal reincarnated questions: "What if I have to go to ground?", "Pros and cons of hammocks VS tents", "Should I buy an underquilt ?"...
What if we would isolate the best answers given to all these iterating questions, hopefully once and for all?
Others are just fascinating, creative ideas that should be kept accessible. I know one could search the forum, but, apart from the fact that I rarely find a previous thread, even when I have in mind some exact bits of sentences it features, most of the time I find I am not really searching for anything in particular, but would enjoy having a source of interesting, time tested, reading at hand.
So what is The Best of the Best of the Hammock Forums?
