    Hennessy ropes with a valdotain tresse

    I have never even tried the ’Hennessy lashing’ but I’ve been using the becket hitch before (which works fine). But I wanted something easier to adjust and since I was already familiar with some tree climbing stuff I decided to try how a valdotain tresse hitch would work. Valdotain tresse - if someone should not know - is a friction hitch mainly used by climbing arborists. It turned out working really well on the Hennessy ropes! I use 6 mm accessory cord and DMM XSRE mini carabiners.
