Greetings all, new to hanging but have been tenting since I was but a wee little one. Got into hammocks due to I mainly spring/ fall-early winter camp and wanted to extend into those seasons when the ground is too muddy for a tent. I also want to get into backpacking and knew a hammock is easier to pack than my tent. Tried my Dutchware hammock out in the for the first real camp out a couple of days ago and I'll probably never go back to a tent. First night out and had a thunderstorm blow through and had the best sleep in ages. Just something about being gently rocked as the trees sway in the wind above you was nice and the fact I didn't have to worry about waking up in a puddle was even better.
