I was there in (Sept/Oct) '72 just as martial law came in to being. Marcos was in power, and his wife had shoes.
PC (Philippine Constabulary), walking the streets, had automatic weapons. You were NOT on the street after midnight.
Reports were that they shot first, then asked. My local friends would not even use his name in conversations. They had family locked up for nothing. Scary times.
