I made my own hex tarp, but I still like and use my Hennessey Hex Poly 70D tarp. I've been using Hennessey snakeskins and really like them. My issue is that with the PU coating on the inside of the stuff sack and the outside of the snake skins, trying to put the tarp (in the skins) into the stuff sack is impossible. They will NOT slide into the stuff sack. I know I could just roll up the tarp in the snakeskins, and store it that way, but I wanted a less unruly solution.

So, I made my own one-piece no-see-um mesh snakeskin. I cut two pieces of fabric 9" x 80". I did a flat felled seam to join the middle together, which was really easy since the seam was only 9" long. Then I made a rolled hem on each end to form a channel for a bit of cord and a cord lock. Then I just stitched the long sides together to form a tube that ended up being about 156" long.

I liked how they work a lot better than the two-piece Hennessey snakeskins, and they fit into the Hennessey stuff sack!

Just thought I'd share, as I'd grown frustrated with the old way.
