I've only had the cinch buckles a short time but like them enough to have just ordered another pair. On more than one occasion though I've had the slider flip vertical and get stuck, another time it was completely inverted. Yes, even with the webbing in place. This was not during actual use, only occurring during storage/handling. Don't ask me how, because I can't duplicate it at my desk. Without the CL, the slider rotates easily and can even fall out, but otherwise the CL keeps it from going past center. Not a big deal but it can be frustrating to fiddle with as the sun is sinking and the gnats are in full attack mode.
I figured that a couple of tiny zip-ties could prevent this from happening. I haven't tried it on the hammock yet, but it works great at my desk.
EDIT: Make sure you keep the connector, or head, of the zip-tie to the inside of the buckle.
Hey Dutch, I like that the cinch bugs allow for easy on/off of the CL like the spider, but I'm not a camo fan. Are they going to be available with your new dyneema/poly strap, or at least without webbing?
