After much deliberation I finally purchased a Wilderness Logics Top Quilt King 15* and a Full Under Quilt 20*F to go with my newly purchased WBBB XLC. I debated long and hard about synthetic vs. down and the "correct" temperature rating. I wanted a three season setup as I'll be taking early spring fishing trips and need to be prepared for weather down into the thirties, but most of my trips will be during the warmer parts of the year. I'm trying to get buy with just purchasing one set of quilts and figure that I can adequately vent them during warmer months. If I'm still to hot, myfirst contingency plan will be to buy a fleece or silk liner. Am I on the right track?
