Looks like rain all week here in Gadsden, with the threat of severe weather Wednesday. Excellent opportunity for testing! So, I just threw the ole prototype back up: let's see what she can stand.

Well, we had no tornadoes, hail, or 70mph winds. (thankfully!) After almost 3 days of rain, thunderstorms and 20-30mph gusts, the pvc roof frame performed well. I set it up Monday evening and haven't touched it since. The tarp shifted a bit, but that's all: it didn't cave in from water puddling.

The Squidbilly has landed!! We did a quick setup in the garage last night. It looks great! Our new tarp has a black roof and end doors. The sides are burnt orange. I will post pictures of our setup at HANGCON when we return. THANK YOU Squidbilly
Holy huge tarp batman! And here I was thinking a kelty Noah 12 was big lol, that's something that might actually get my wife on board hammocking with me!
I know where I will be at HangCon if it rains
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
It really is awesome! We used the prototype for fall MAHHA. Being able to have a setup with the two stands under a tarp has many pluses. Privacy for changing, large dry area during bad weather, hanging with children, cuts wind and temp is a few degrees higher, and I am sure we will find more benefits as we use it at upcoming hangs.
