Are you looking for something lightweight to backpack with? Or are you just car/base camping? Do you want something with a lot of coverage for heavy rain storms, something minimal for a light shower, or something in between?
i'm looking for a lightweight with a medium amount of coverage
I just got the Hennessy hex fly, it's not the lightest but has good coverage with a decent price point.
did you get the 70d polyester or the 30d silnylon
Not many people buy the 30D silnylon HH tarp. Better silnylon tarps available.

A silnylon hex tarp sounds like what you want. I know Warbonnet's Mambajamba is good, but only from my friends experience. I cloned that tarps dimensions for a diy project and I like it.
that looks great. what about just a 8x10 silnylon from Etowah outfitters? any thoughts?
I just got a wb mamajamba and love it. light, big and packs small. it has a little brother the edge. check them out see what you think.
How long is your hammock? Unless you hang it on the diagonal, an 8x10 tarp may not have a lot of ridgeline coverage.
