Asym tarp ridgeline

I could use some advice. I'm making a hammock for my daughter based upon my HH Asym Ultralight. I have the body of the hammock trimmed and I'm waiting for my zing it to arrive so I started on the rainfly.

My question ... My hennessey has a ridgeline seam. But laying out my fabric I don't need a seam. The seam runs on the diagonal the length of the fly (corner to corner). I won't cut the fabric but I'm thinking of rolling a seam. But I'm corn fused. The ridgeline is on the fabric bias so the seam of three layers I think would add some rigidity. But the rest of the fabric would not. Also I could reinforce with gross grain on the underside for loops to connect to the ridgeline. I use a separate fly ridgeline but the HH only connects on the ends of the fly. With wind it would be nice to anchor the fly to the ridgeline better.

Poking a million holes on the centerline when not necessary seems kinda dumb. I read the water proof tape seam sealer will not stick to silnylon but I have it on mine. Any experience with the sealer tape?? I'm planning to make my own sealer with silicon and mineral spirits 50/50.

The main question is to seam or not to seam the ridgeline???
