From what I’ve seen on comparisons it’s the bulk of spider poly not weight where I feel there are probably better options. I’ve decided on the hybrid straps from Jeff Myers, thank you all for the suggestions.

They are definitely a bit more bulky.
I go back and forth with them and the UHWMPE straps never seeming to settle on one. I just hate flattening those straps sometimes to keep them from getting ropey.
Dutch gave me a pair of Kevlar straps several years ago. I used them once, and didn't like the way they bunched on the tree - I've never used them since.

If you want to sell them I'll take them. How's $40 sound?

I've had to move away from the DWG spider poly. They unravel on me. May have changed suppliers.

Fugal Innovations has kevlar straps which work pretty well for me. Have to see how well they hold up long-term. But they seem light and strong and take a becket hitch fine. I like them paired with Autumn Ultralight's (or Autumn Outdoor Gear now?) Beckett loops, which are really great -- they add a little thumb-pull loop for a extra leverage untying your Beckett hitch. Love 'em.

Depending on how you are using it, Venom webbing from RSBTR may be the solution at 2.2g/ft

It doesn’t work well with buckles, but I use the 2in wide version for my straps with whoopie slings or becket hitch. It flattens back out fairly easily.
