Never saw 3.3 in black.. though I do recall someone successfully dyed the regular 3.3 black.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Hmm... I might have to try that. Or use some simple black polyester straps.
Closest I've found is this 3500lb rated stuff @$2.75/ft, although it appears to be more robust than the 2000lb rated 3.3 typically used for hammock straps.

Another winter project..
I remember a thread from someone who colored their straps with a Sharpie.
Rit dye might work.
You know my curiosity.. why do you want to do this?

I'll have to google more about dyeing. Being a plastic I wonder how that will work.
Working on my stealth option... I was so impressed with how my friends' camo Duplex just 'disappeared' a very short distance into the woods. I also got some Lawson Guywire in dark olive. Shucks, now I'll have to learn how to not trip over my own setup.

Rit dye baths work well on synthetics. I routinely use it on glass and carbon fiber reinforced composites. Takes a couple days or more to get really deep rich colors, and not all colors take as well as others or as "true" as the bottle says (black would be a no brainer and true to color), but a little searching around should yeild some good info. "prop dyeing" or "rit dye propeller" search terms should get you to a wealth of the basics.
Dunno about kevlar, but it's cheap stuff and would probably be worth snipping a piece off as a trial at least... I would think.

Ha, OK I didn't know there were the 2 types of dye! Thanks.

I used a brown hair dye on a white synthetic rope, and it came out as a burnt orange. I thought about trying Rit dyes, but I think they say on them that they aren't meant for synthetics, so I never did.
I also considered trying those paints that pucker up the fabric on a tarp. I might experiment with that on my torn OMW
