I thought about the Gamma UL, it is not so much that I am concerned with weight with the Draumr (obviously not the lightest), but I do enjoy making things as light as possible just for fun (cutting off metal zipper pulls and replacing with a 1.1 reflective cord, etc.). The Gamma looked a little narrow for me. I am thinking about testing the amok, if I hate it, the return policy is generous for the amok, and for the pads as well.

Give me more folly said the fool,
Give me stone silence said the deaf man,
I didn't believe Sunday School.

Has anyone tried using a different tarp with the Amok hammock, say a Warbonnet Superfly to get more protection on the sides? Just curious what other tarps might work.
I believe others have indeed used superfly with good results
The WB ground tarp version (forget name) has an extra pullout in the middle which helps with the amok to keep extra room for foot end.
I'll try and get them out and try this weekend myself and report back (superfly and amok)
