I gave my 2 kayaks to my son several years ago. Your video made me question this decision.
You did a really good job. Thanks for sharing.
They're a bit tough to get, like bikes now. My local shop ordered stuff last April for stock this summer. Not sure they even got them.
And forgot to mention, I lost 9 pounds on this trip opposed to the 11 pounds on my Maumee River trip last year. I even ate a normal amount this time!
It's the only sort of-affordable place left that I know of. $8.67 each after shipping for 5 meals. That's still not cheap, but worth it for a good dinner. I loved Packit Gourmet, but it came to $14 each. I just can't do that anymore now that the prices went way up.
These are the ziploc bags I transfer the food into as shown in the video: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WST9D19. They were $16.99 for 100, now 21.99. I suppose you could just use a regular Ziploc bag. These have a thin, weak seal anyway but good enough for this purpose.
Love it! I'm tentatively planning to do the same thing this summer (If there's still water in the river ) Thanks for sharing.
Good luck,

Nice, thanks for sharing.
One huge advantage of hammock camping; chili is a permissible food item.
Never heard of Chaga before.
The gauge near Grayling had a discharge around 180 and 0.75' depth. That's a low spot by M-72 but probably a good reference point for how the rest of the trip will play out. It's a pretty consistent river though. The graphs for when I did the Maumee river went from 1.9' to 19' in about a week prior, and that wasn't so far from normal.
We got lucky with the weather and especially the bugs. Not a single one. Now they're simply oppressive.
