So what's the scoop? I am looking to buy the small ti loop alien, but not sure if they are available. Are they only available at certain times?

The small ti ones have been "Out of Stock" for some time now and emails get no response.
How about aluminum? I thought the ones I saw were steal
The Chinese copies (in steel and aluminium) are widely available on eBay
So I searched in both ebay and amazon and could not find them. I have seen the LAs on ebay before and didn't want to purchase them there, rather go back to Loop Alien instead. Seeing that they are no longer available I was going to try out a heavier copy-cat version. Now I can't find them. Could someone please post a link for me?
I got ya dude.

Slowly swaying in a hammock is my version of a steady morphine drip, without the risk of renal failure.
They are the alu ones dude
these are stainless

Yeah, I'd trust the Al to tarp ties outs or gear ties, but not anything under stress, like a tarp ridgeline. Weight is considerably less than the stainless, though.
I thought the aluminum ones would be ok for the ridgeline, perhaps I'm wrong. The other thing would be the kind with a section cut out which I'm guessing i can do myself. It makes it easier to adjust. Thanks for the links
I've got both kinds and I'm not sure I'd trust them for the ridgeline. They are easily bent. If you string a tight line or have some pretty good wind gusts, I'm not sure. I've got no proof, I didn't trust them so I've got no field testing. I used the steel ones. If you did do it, I'd double them up for strength. You'd still save on weight.
