Looking to build a gear/dog hammock...
What fabrics have you used successfully? Will a ripstop 1.9 or a HyperD 1.6 hold up? Looking for something relatively lightweight that'll survive claws.

What's the weight on your dog? Are his/her claws the size of your fist or your pinky toe? A Great Dane and a tea cup snickerdoodle are a smidge different.

What about some of ripstop's 2.2 hex 70XL? Your not talking a full 11' hammock I wouldn't think.

The Flying Fleabag Dog Hammock (search for discussion) is made with 70d Nylon Taslan

I would use RBTR's 2.2oz Hex70 for it toughness and durability. Here's a video we made some time ago showing how tough this fabric is.
I used 70D Taslan for the dog hammock I made. Used on several trips and is like new. My dog is 40+lbs but he runs often so his claws are blunt.
I'd agree with a Taslan type material. This guy usually has some at decent prices: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ftr...aslan&_sacat=0
