In answer to the question, I think in principle it would work, at least at first. But there's going to be a significant
angle (on the order of 30 degrees) between the two cords involved, with the angle opening of course where
the ridgeline cord enters the bury of the UCR cord. You'd need a longer than usual UCR bury to maintain grab I'm guessing, but more to the point the whole arrangement is working hard to 'open' the bury entry point. I don't see why in time that bury entry point won't just get wider and wider.

But this is all thought experiment.

    cheers
Interesting, thanks for replying, learnt a lot from your professor hammock vid's.

Certainly still relevant. This sticky is how I learned about whoopies and ucrs. I had not noticed the scrunchie prusik used as a lock on the tail before and so I have incorporated this using shock cord on my latest suspension. I had previously locked the tail end of the constrictor using a prusik knot. It holds but I have to make sure to dress and set with every adjustment. I will try each out on opposing ends with my next hang.

Thanks for the info. I have been playing with whoopie slings for a bit but had not seen the UCR.
