After getting my shipment of fabric in I got the urge to do some sewing. (It's raining out and the other job is building shelves in the shed).
Started with the olive 1.0 HyperD and created a 11' hammock. 3x sewn channel with continuous loops (my wife calls them 'infinity loops'.
Fabric: beautiful to work with. Easier than the silnylon I've been using lately lol. Hems went in nice.
It's thin and light. Hanging it, it seems to float. My wife wasn't going to try it first. I got in. Some stretch but it's nice.
Surprisingly so. I'm 180 lbs 5'9" and I have pretty much no knee hyper extension in this. It's very comfy.
Laid in it for a bit. Moved around and got up to check the stitching on the channels. Looks good.
I'm impressed. For a UL it would work nicely as long as you were careful not to snag sharps on it. But isn't that like all hammocks.
