Im missing the chili hang because a while back i had promised friends i would dog sit for them while they go on vacation starting today till next saturday BUT!!!! i also ordered a new warbonnet traveler which will be here any day so im thinking if their flights get in on time and they come for their little darling on time, say by 3 in the afternoon, i may do a hike to the canal campsite to test drive the new hammock for an over nighter into sunday morning, hike back and be home in time for the bears game, (they moved the game time to 3:30) so if anyone wants to hike in with me (3 miles) , PM me and we may set something up. I.ve always biked in, never hiked it so it will be a first for me. Or i may give them a key and leave a tad earlier, i dunno, still planning stuff.

yes it is a legal spot, been there a few times already, as it stands, im thinking of heading out from channahon state park at around 1 or 2 in the afternoon a week from tomorrow. its 6 bucks for the night to camp out on the I&M canal trail and it will be a 3 mile hike in,.

my new traveler has arrived, and the weather looks great for this weekend, be cool if my underquilt protector would show up but if it doesnt, thats ok, looks like ill be leaving my place at around 11 or 12 be in channahon at around 1ish, they are gonna call me when they board then plane so i know they will pick up their little darling woohooo.

I think you should have put word Illinois or something about the location in name of this thread. I don't have a UQ but I have 2 pads.one is good down to 50 it's rated R-2.9 rei stratus. The other one is heavy self inflatable pad 4inch thick that I used in snow tenting, Guide series pad and I don't know if its good for hammock
