lightest option for ridge line

Simple question what are the lightest options for making my own ridge line. Going to be placing an order so might as well get the lightest available. If someone sees this and has a link to (or wants to type out the detail) a comparison of the top options that would be fantastic.

If you want fancy, check out ZPacks Z line. They have some pretty small line. But I use braided masons line, it's smaller diameter than Zing It and works good as a ridgeline as long as you don't string it up Hennesy tight.

I use 1.75 zing it or Lash it. It has a 400 pound breaking point. You can uses 2.2 or Dynaglide if you want something a bit stronger but more than 400 pounds shouldn't be needed.

I use 1.75mm Zing-it. Hang your suspension at or near 30° or else you will break the 400 pound Zing-it.

I sometimes need to use my ridgeline as a full structural ridgeline, for instance when the only available trees are 20 feet apart. For those times, the ridgeline needs to be just as strong as the hammock suspension lines (and the lines from the trees to the ridgeline and hammock lines need to be twice as strong.) I'm not very heavy, so I use Dynaglide for the ridgeline and hammock lines and Amsteel for the main lines to the trees.

+1 on the braided masons line. I get a big spool at Home Depot. It is great for other small splicing projects like guy lines, stuff sack cinch rope, lanyards etc..

Just make sure it the braided and not twisted line.

For a structural one, Zing-it or Lash-it. For non-structural, probably Z-line.

I go overkill with Amsteel.

I use 2.2 Lash-It for my ridge lines. They are structural and adjustable. The one on my full time hammock is Amsteel with a Dutch biner for easy detachment. Overkill is good.
