    Mt. Madison NH 11-2014

Here are some pictures from a stay near Blueberry Ledge, on the side of Mt. Madison over Thanksgiving weekend. Intermittent snow all Friday. 12" to 18" snow on trail, no ice.

It was 20 degrees during daylight, down to at least 10 degrees both nights. Sunday it warmed up to about 30 degrees, and felt SOOOOO warm!

We enjoyed our 'Barbie' edition GoLite Shangrala tent and Kifaru stove, made the stay comfortable. Very comfortable.

All hammocking equipment performed as expected, a little 'condensation irritation', but, not threatening, at least not for just two nights.

Learned a few new tricks, and went home with a few new ideas and things to make for the next trip.

Many thanks to the Hammock Forums contributors for the knowledge and wisdom that make this sort of adventure possible! (and you know who you are!)

GoLite Shangrala 5 is 4 lb. w/o the bottom ground cloth, which we never use, and the stove is 5 lb. There were 3 of us, so the load was shared. All 3 packs were about 40 lb. ea.
