Another huge thanks to those who contributed all the great prizes, both cottage vendors & individuals!
BTW, I did something a little different this year.
Last year my raffle ticket was drawn early in the raffle so I had opportunity to take one of the most sought after prizes. But since I had helped organize the event I choose to pass & let others get the big stuff.

But this year I knew I was much in need of a new silnylon tarp. So when my name was drawn 2nd or 3rd I had to take the $150 gift certificate so generously given by Brandon of War Bonnet Hammocks!
So hopefully by the time I go out again I will be sporting a War Bonnet Super Fly!!!
Thank you again Brandon & all those that contributed.

Grayson Highlands State Park is a wonderful place with friendly & helpful rangers & staff. We are glad to give some support back for all they do & provide hammockers & others.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Yes looks like a lot of fun. Will put this one on my calendar for next year.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

Never did see the mouse. I know Mini Rat was hoping it would come out and play. I did see a Chipmunk around my hammock.

I was wondering who got it. Way to go and enjoy the new tarp when you get it.

Almost forgot...a shout out to HamMike for those those DIY stove wind screens he was giving away. Lightweight and they roll up small.
    Thanks.

The SC Fall Sprawl allowed one to buy raffle tickets and appoint someone attending the hang to be your proxy. Apparently I won something and its being mailed to me. Just worried it might be some pink camo. The wife does not line pink or camo so if it is I might get stuck with it.

Had a great time with great folks!! PM me if you want a windscreen, just have to pay shipping. I have about 10 left. I won't be able to get them out for a few weeks as I'll be out of the country. Who got the hammock life t-shirt?

Thanks to all who came and especially for the raffle contributions. I believe this is the largest amount we have sent back the the Friends of Grayson. We had a great bunch of young folks who took care of the raffle money and drawings. Great kids Visionarylion and Mamalion.

Was great to see all the friends back this year and some new faces. Set your plans for next year. Slowhike may have the whole show as I might be trying to finish the AT(). Therefore, we may need another host to help him get the hang organized. Jump in any time if you want to help.

It was a great hang as previously stated. Thankful for the really great weather for a change. Some pics for Hickery attached (found him a cow to ride next year). Sorry he missed this year.

Just a few other photos scattered thru the weekend.

Also took a friend as a first time visitor for a 2-day walk around the highlands on Sunday thru Tuesday. His first steps on the AT. Great day Monday with sunset at Thomas Knob shelter.

Final head count was 33, plus Grits did the day thing on Saturday. A few more pics. The raffle table was full, thanks to the generosity of several of the HF vendors and all our on HF hangers who brought stuff for the Saturday nite event.
