I had a friend lay in it so I can adjust the shock cords at the head and foot end to wrap around the hammock snugly (but not too snugly to create air gaps).

At 45º I was fine, but at 34 with a slight breeze (~3-5 mph) I was not very warm. I also woke up several times throughout the night to pull the quilt over my shoulder, as it kept sliding off (I lay diagonally). I got the 4s during the last sale, and the quilt is rated to 25, so I believe my discomfort is due to my own inexperience.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for using this quilt properly? Thanks.
One thing that helped me was that I took an additional micro biner at each end and ran the two shock cords from the corners of the UQ, through the new biner, which I placed above the RL, and then to the place where the hammock meets your suspension. It essentially serves the same function as triangle thingies in that it re-directs the shock cord up at a higher angle, instead of in the same general direction as your hammock up to where the hammock meets the suspension.

This helps a lot for me, once I combine it with Shug's suggestion of pulling the shoulder corner shock cord and the foot corner shock cord significantly tighter than the non-shoulder and non-foot corner shock cords. Manipulating the shock cords like that will essentially rotate the UQ slightly, so that it is diagonal under the hammock, like your body.

Finally, if you're feeling the cold under your heels/feet, then make sure you have a small pad or something under your feet in the footbox of your TQ. Shug's videos also show this several times. Paul/Arrowhead sell a little sit pad for this purpose, and Dutch and several other sell variations of the same idea, if in different styles of pads.

Any idea when the next sale may be? I need to pick up one for me and my beloved.

Love my Jarbidge. The three season works great at 40-50°F. Curious to see how low I can push it.

I just wanted to post an update that I pushed my new version 3-season Jarbidge to 28* this last weekend. I did put on some layers of clothes, but did not get cold during the night. This is an excellent product.

I used mine with my Turtledog stand over the weekend to take an afternoon nap... was down to 29 at that point - woke up when it started snowing and my face was getting wet.
Backside was nice and toasty except a slight chill when the wind picked up every now and then.

Notice the snow flakes scattered around on the hammock...

The "top quilt" is an old synthetic 40* mummy bag - surprisingly it was nice and warm.

Good to here, I was wondering how low it could be pushed. Thanks

We have had folks push the Jarbidge 3 Season into the single digits, though that is the extreme and not the norm. We rate the 3 seasons to 25°F and feel that we try to be pretty accurate for most folks. Lot of factors play into that like individual metabolism, humidity, air flow, and on and on. However with tens of thousands of AHE produced KAQ's out in the woods we get a lot of feed back along with my own testing and the math from the raw materials factory rated capabilities we feel very comfortable putting the ratings we do behind out gear.

This helps me make my decision to buy a uqp to go with my Jarbidge, Thanks
With a good tarp and proper set up to work to block wind you should be fine without a UQP, though they do help to block wind to the next level beyond just terrain and tarp and will add a few degrees additional warmth retention.

Great to be seeing so many good reports back from all the cold weather folks are getting to do some testing in with their KAQ's

My Jarbridge 4s arrived today! Beautiful work on it and I can't wait to test it out. I'll have it out at a hang this weekend but only expecting temps in the 20's.

Thank you again, Paul (and crew), for the fast delivery.
