For the 3 Season I have only used them down to high 30's as that has been the coldest it has gotten when I have been able to get out and hang with them.

What I need to do is take the 3S and new 4S out on a real cold night and set up both but have the 4S pushed off to side and see how low I can go with the 3S and if I find out I have gone too low I can then push the 3S off the the side and deploy the 4S

I bought mine during the recent sale. It fits my bridge hammock perfectly. So far our low temp has been 37* so haven't had a good test yet - but very comfortable at 37.

    Jarbridge UQ - Extremely Impressed

Used mine this past weekend with a low of 33 and I still had a toasty warm backside. Not much of a test since it is rated to 20 - but that's the coldest we've had

Can anybody comment on the packability of these compared to a PLUQ? I've heard so many great things about them and AHE in general. Just wondering about the compressability compared to my current PLUQ, which I haven't had a successful night in yet (CBS).

I am not sure how small your PLUQ gets, but my Jarbidge will compress down to the size of a football.

I put mine in a compression sack and I'm able to get it to roughly 8in diameter, 4in high. It might be able to shrink down a little more, but the bag I use doesn't really allow for much more compression than that.

Just remember that there are 1, 3 and 4 Season Jarbridges using different amounts of insulation. The older ones like the 1 and 3 Season I have were made before Apex Clamshield so probably do not compress as much as the newer Apex version. I am sure Paul can enlighten us.

Generally, I go sans-stuffsack, and I get my jarbidge down to the same size as the sleeping bag I use as a TQ. About the size of a football.
The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog.

I'm actually having some trouble with my Jarbidge. I've hung with it twice, so far. The first time at 45ºF low, and the second was last weekend at 34ºF low. I had a friend lay in it so I can adjust the shock cords at the head and foot end to wrap around the hammock snugly (but not too snugly to create air gaps).

At 45º I was fine, but at 34 with a slight breeze (~3-5 mph) I was not very warm. I also woke up several times throughout the night to pull the quilt over my shoulder, as it kept sliding off (I lay diagonally). I got the 4s during the last sale, and the quilt is rated to 25, so I believe my discomfort is due to my own inexperience.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for using this quilt properly? Thanks.

Pictures would help but check to make sure there are not any gaps at the ends. Also Triangle Thingies work great at helping to keep any UQ in place. They may still slip some but they do make a difference.. Was your tarp down low to block the wind and or was it in line with the wind so the wind was blowing thru the tarp ?

    Just some thoughts.
