I definitely recommend adding the McDonald Brummel to your list (
link). It's the best way I've found to add loops to lines with only one free end and I use it all the time.
Repeating the two ended method to make a dogbone can work if you make the hole large enough for the first loop to pass through (that's basically the technique w/ the McDonald method), however the McD also works if you're adding loops to an end of a UCR's or past knots/other buries/complex splices that you can't fit through your line.
