    So far best known insulation?

Hi I'm quite to my Hennessy and therefore have not tested many insulation systems.

So far the Hennessy undercover seems to be the most versatile and usable bot winter and summer for wind rain blockage.
Its good to use whatever foam or bag or jacket for insulation and so far having a insulation inside the hammock feels uncomfortable.
As it is not possible to get a undercover in europe i'm planing to make my own with the same cuts.

    1. Is that a good idea to use the same cuts or better do it differently?

    2. Hennessy uses some kind of foam for insulation?
    Is this any bad?
Does anyone know what is this foam and how to find the material? As I am pretty sure HH does not make the foam they just use it.

As the nightly temperatures are getting closer and closer to -0C and lower i'm in quite of a search atm.
As far as i know there is no chance buying a well suiting insulation for a decent price in europe

If you have any sewing skills at all, you can use the pattern in this post here:

Have you tried contacting Hennessy via their website? When I was pondering buying the HH DJ a couple of years back, they said that they ship a lot of their stuff from the UK. So it doesn't hurt to ask.

If you want to go the DIY route, I would not try duplicating HH undercover (I assume you speak of the Supershelter). Why not sew up an Apex Climashield underquilt? You can get the Climashield from Extremtextil or from Shelby.fi. I hear it's fairly easy to work with, and I think it's easier to make an underquilt than trying to duplicate the HH Supershelter system. If you want weather protection as well, make an underquilt protector as well.
