A QUESTION FOR ALL INVOLVED!!!
I would like everyone's opinion on location. Should we keep it where it was last year or move it to the location that Tony mentioned off a lake. I haven't been to the lake location yet, so I can't speak to it, but I do know there were a lot of people who liked the location, ease of access, and ability of "escape" if need be at last winters spot. So let me know what everyone thinks so we can make the location firm and start figuring out the finer details.
Just an FYI, whatever site is chosen, one should make sure it is well within " Finland State Forest " boundaries and outside of privately owned or " Superior National Forest " land.. Remember " Superior National Forest " does not allow for dispersed camping.

image.jpgHow do you figure? A quick search indeed shows that superior national forest allows dispersed camping. (Tried to add photo of rules to this post from mobile and it somehow added it to the top... Anyways, you can see that dispersed camping IS allowed.

Either way I am still curious about peoples opinions on location. I have received a couple of pm's on keeping it at last years location and there are definitely good things to be said about that place so unless the majority speaks up against it, I say we will do a repeat of last years location. IF ANYONE IS AGAINST THAT PLEASE POST IN THIS THREAD SO WE CAN ALL HAVE A SAY IN THE MATTER. If you're good with last years location also let us know. I don't want this detail to be an problematic issue!!
Seriously planning to be there this year. Who can advise on pulks and snowshoes? Diy pulk? Do I need to spend a bunch on snowshoes?
Looking at under insulation... I have two UGQ Zepplin 20's and thinking of layering them for under...enough? What don't I know?
