    hanging beer cozy

Show me your diy beer/beverage srl hanger. Especially if you've found one that doesn't tip.

It's not DIY, but these "schwag pockets" from REI work great- $9.50 for two, so you prolly couldn't do it any cheaper unless you're willing to work for way below minimum wage ;-)

That's a neat little sack - quite conducive to making from leftover material, I think. That'd be pretty quick and easy. Hmmmmmm.

I would never hang an open container from my RL unless you are asking for a shower.
The ENO pocket is about as close as I would get but I would not use it until I was settled in.

hehe those are cool... I'm really wondering if anyone has solved the tipping/unbalanced problem.

Seems to me if this had a strap and clip on two sides or a single strap connected on two sides with a single clip it would always be straight up and down. No tipping.

Agreed with saltminer - if you attached a string to each side and knotted the middle of the string around a carabiner, the carabiner should loop over the ridgeline with relative stability, I would think, as long as you didn't hit it while moving around!

I've used the Schwag pockets for years and love them. The rim keeps it open for reaching inside easily.

Just buy beer in an aluminum bottle (w/screw cap) or use a flask for your Crown or Scotch and you don't have to worry about spills. That way no special pocket, etc is needed.
