    I'm totally doing it wrong...

I have a terrible time getting out of my hammock. Its like the zipper prevents the fabric from giving a little so I can swing my legs over fully. Maybe I'm just hanging my hammock too high? But I have to rock back and forth and practically throw myself onto the ground to get out. I had no troubles getting in and out of my friend's ENO. Has anyone else noticed this? Or am I just... special.

Yes, the hammock is too high.

I've had to do that when I hung the hammock too high.

But of course, hanging it too low is even more problematic to get out of.... Think sitting in a moving object with your butt 6" off the ground....

Eventually you'll get it the right height for getting in and out of comfortably. I now know where the bars of my bridge hammock have to be in relation to my body when I'm standing beside it so that when I'm in it it's the right height for me.

Slide your butt closer to the egde of the hammock while lying down so when you sit up and swing your legs over, it will help get you over the zipper.

If you hang it too low, just put your feet on the ground and walk backwards (pushing you and the hammock up)until you can stand up and easily come out of the hammock. I thought it was funny until as I get older it is harder to get out of the hammock, especially if it is a little low. I actually like to hang mine a bit high.

I have been playing with my Grand Trunk hammocks in the living room, after a few weeks I can enter/exit my red double with no extra work or dreading getting out of it, however i still have not diled in my blue one, it seems longer/wider then the other doubles i have, as stated above it will come to you
