    White Bug Netting?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that biting insects are drawn to dark colors, but all the bug netting I've ever seen is black. Does anyone know why and/or has anyone seen other colors?

Black bug netting is by far the easiest color to see through. The lighter it is, the harder it is to see through. I've seen white, tan and dark green bug netting and I'm sure there are other colors. Your choice; HYOH!

I have white bug netting. Its a bug net 360 from Ticket to The Moon. last year they did a tour of costco canada and i got a pair of hammocks and nets from them for a great price! 40% of what they retail them on their site for and without the shipping cost. Not being able to see through it is not an issue, if im in the hammock its to nap/read so its a non-issue.

Ripstopbytheroll.com sells netting in black, Chocolate Brown, OD Green, Grey and White.

I've used white netting, and was never happy with it's results. As mentioned above, it's hard to see through white netting, it pretty much just glows.

I've all but completely swapped to the Brown and OD netting.. they're easy to see through, yet don't retain as much heat as black netting does.

Here are examples I've done of the OD (On the MARPAT) and the brown (on the Multicam) netting.

FWIW, horseflies swarm my white truck like their mama was raped by one. It may be the color, or some other factor, but I get the feeling they would rip it apart, if they could.
