    2013 Backcountry Boiler

Backcountry Boiler, $70. This is one of the newer versions of the boiler. It has only been used with alcohol stoves to this point. It does not leak. It was purchased new in 2013 by the original owner. There is a very small ding along the bottom edge that can be seen in the 2nd pic, but it does not affect the performance. It is not anodized. Has base, stopper, neoprene sleeve, and carrying sack.

Price includes shipping in CONUS, outside CONUS is negotiable. I prefer Paypal. Please PM after posting your claim in the thread. Thanks for looking.

    I'll bite,

Were you using the fire felt they sell or a separate burner? Any sense for how much alcohol or how long it took to boil?

I just ordered a Core 4 stove, but these are cool, and if it works as good as the Kelly Kettle it seems like a very good backpacking choice.

It's been used with a Trangia stove. I never really timed it or measured any fuel. I got the feeling that it wasn't as fast as using it with wood. I had one of the original Kickstarter versions that leaked before this one, and I can tell you that these things heat up really fast with wood.

It's a great design and a really cool boiler. I need more capacity than the 2 cups or so this holds as I'm normally heating water for me and at least 1-2 others. If Devin would develop and sell a boiler twice the size, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
