Loooooong separating coil zippers (only in white)

Was doing some DIY googling and came across this: http://www.thezipperlady.com/263-1-w...r-_p_1154.html

Figured I'd share the love with anyone else looking for a separating coil zipper, these are nearly 22ft long and amazingly cheap.

FWIW...OWFInc, DIYGearSupply, etc. all sell black coil zippers by the foot at similar pricing.

Those zipper's aren't supplied with the hardware to be a separating zipper, though. They are just a length of coil and the slider's.

They have other lengths and styles which may be more suited to different project's, also. And they sell the top stops, so you can cut to length.

Right, the big draw here is that they're separating, meaning you could make a completely removable bugnet as long as the diameter was less than 21ft. I've never seen a separating zipper this long or this cheap for even half the length.

I've found these as well: http://www.sailrite.com/Finished-Zip...nished-Zippers

I find the #10 to go up to 180".

#8 and #10 are much heavier than I'd use for a bignet. I like #3. Some people use #5, but I think that's overkill.

I agree with WV. #8 and #10 are too big for me to use for a bugnet. Think heavy duty zippers on luggage and jeep softtops. YMMV.

I'm not sure if it's a huge issue, but these looooong zippers only have pulls on one side, so they wouldn't be ideal for a bug net IMO.

I figured an DIYer worth their salt would be able to replace a zipper pull. I've done it before, it's not that hard.
