For 25 - 30 degrees or above, I use a Golite Ultra 20 I've had for a long time. It was cheap when I bought it. I don't know what they go for now. Use JRB for anything lower than that. Love that quilt and pretty much anything I've bought from JRB.

My 20° +1oz Hammockgear Burrow packs really small. Not even much bigger than the 40°. I packed both this past weekend - BOTH total were still smaller than my winter sleeping bag.

If you have access to a sewing machine, consider making your own. You can get very high quality fabric and down well under your 200$ target.

Hammock Gear and Underground quilt's are he two biggest player's in hammock quilt's. An 800/850 fp quilt will compress as small as possible. HG MAY compress slightly smaller, and be slightly lighter due to using Argon 67 material in some/all of the construction (depends on color choice I believe).

You can also look at Warbonnet for the Mamba quilt, or Enlightened Equipment Enigma and Revelation series quilts.

If cost is also a concern, you may consider DIY if you're crafty. Although a TQ is a bit ambitious for a first project.
