WHERE: Frog Lake Campground, Mt. Hood National Forest.
WHEN: Up for debate, but looking at the weekend of 23-25 JANUARY 2015. We can find the best (or whats best for most) weekend as we get a little closer.
WHO: Everyone that wants to get out and do some winter hanging. Event hosted by the Cascade Hangers!

So tune up your pulk sleds, order your winter underquilts, and get your tarps ready for the 2015 OREGON YETI HANG!
Get your White Elephant gift Ready for Saturday Evenings Exchange!

Frog lake has ample room for lots of hangers... So don't sit this one out.. lots of perfect hanging trees, great friends, and a nice winter wonderland of Hammock Bliss!
Plenty of Parking, Restrooms, and great trees!

Well, maybe, perhaps, well, it sounds like a great idea. I keep trying to get to the Winter Hangs things just keep happening. Hopefully 2015 will be the year. I think set a date and go with it. In my humble opinion, it is easier if the date is known, so time off can be requested well in advance. With a group as large as the Oregon and Washington State's contingency, it is very difficult to find a weekend that works for the majority.

Frog lake is great, we will be buy a SnoPark Pass early this year, so there will not be any worries in that department. Gee, I have more parking passes than Carter has little liver pills.

I am just finishing up two TQ and a "go through anything" UQ, I am ready for Winter!

    Those dates sound great, IndyJ.

I will plan on coming this year for the first time. I'm hoping our troop snow caving outing doesn't conflict. I bought an old heavy wool trench coat that I plan on adding to my 3 season setup to keep warm at night.

    Mike,
You may not have enough snow to do snow caving in January. Our Troop is snow shoeing or just hiking into Zig Zag canyon in January for our first winter outing. Should be fun. Finished our annual plan last night at the troop meeting. Made sure that we scheduled our January trip on a different weekend... Its good to be the Scoutmaster some times. hahaha

As ASMs we have decided to delay the snow caving until February. I'll be at our yearly planning session and lobby for a date that doesn't conflict with this hang.
