    Wife's first night...

Yep. Tonight is the first night my wife will be trying an overnighter in the hammock. I'm trying to convince her to come to MAHHA, but wanted to try it in the safe confines of the backyard in case she gets cold, hot, hates it, etc. I've told her to have patience since most people take more than one night to find their sweet spot in a hammock, but we'll see how it goes. Good luck to her (and me).

Good luck. Took mrs Dust a year to try one overnight. Even though she camps often with us and loved napping in my hammock she wouldn't overnight. Now she won't sleep on the ground anymore.

Fortunately or unfortunately depending on the moment, my wife usually wants to do everything I'm doing. She doesn't like it as cold a I do though. I've also gotten my mom and my sister to each spend a night in my living room hammock.

I don't think it went well. She was warm enough, but has major banana-ing going on. I tried so explain sleeping diagonal, but she said the slippery material of the bag and hammock caused her to slide back into the middle. Hopefully, we'll do it again before the MAHHA and I can convince her to go and get advice from someone other than her husband. Or, this may officially turn into my hobby.

Can she open the bag and just put her feet in the box? Then she wouldn't be laying slippery on slippery. Hope she is willing to try it again.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!
