Such a beautiful child, keep her close. Sleeplessness just goes with parenting. I think I was sleepless until they went off on their own. Infants cry, we rock them, take them for car rides, walk the floor with them, enlightened parents put them in a hammock or sling, makes life easier. Older kids have night frights, older kids do not come home when they should or are doing something else that worries us. Then one day they declair the are now ready to be on their own. I cried as I helped them pack their belongings, once they were out the door I gave a huge sigh of relief as I started redesigning the former bedroom into a craft room.
