Thank you much sir!
Nice vid, I look forward to the rest in the series.
I'd be curious what your gear/food break down was to get you to that 30 pound mark with 8 days of food. It's the one area I always seem to struggle with. Even with a 20 to 25 pound base weight depending on comfort items, seems I'm always closer to 40 with that much food and water.
Thanks for sharing the adventure. Looking forward to the next one.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
Very cool! Can't wait to see the next installment!

I didn't weigh items individually, just the whole pack. Ohm, 330z; single layer T-bird with 1 season Jarbridge UQ, 2lbs 8.8oz; 40* Lafuma extreme 800 Long sleeping bag, 1lb 13oz; camo cuben fiber hex tarp, 6.5oz; 2liter Platypus to bottle, 8.6oz; Evernew pot w/ stove and cup kit, 1lb, Teva sandals that strap on the back of my pack, 5.45 each; every day carry kit (EDC) that has med., fire, mini multi-tool, etc. , 1lb; Bahco Laplander saw, 6.8oz; headlamp, 3oz. Hind lightweight "camp" pants, Hind lightweight long sleeve shirt, Columbia shirt, Frogg Toggs (no pockets light weight ones), 7 pair Fits merino wool light weight "no show" runners socks, 1pair Dexshell water proof socks, 1 pair underwear, toilet kit with various items (I don't use toothpaste, even at home, FLOURIDE is poison, I use baking soda), GoPro, Sony cybershot, 1 1liter Gatorade G bottle, 1 20oz Gatorade G bottle, various snacks like parmesan cheese and beef sticks, jack links, reese's nutrageous king size, for lunch; oatmeal, dried fruits, and Packit Gourmet. I had 8 dinners and 4 breakfasts from Packit Gourmet, which probably saved a lot of weight. I even use lithium batteries in headlamp and mini cree flashlight, lithium are lighter and last a lot longer.

Congrats on a great trip!! It's been a pipe dream for me, but I'm going to start working towards this for September 2015. I was always worried about the costs and planning, but I just spent about 30 minutes doing some research and it's not nearly as bad as I thought.
With fees, parking, gas, boat ticket, etc. I'm looking at $409. Only $307 if I borrow my dads Chevy Sonic for the 10.5hr drive (still holding out and saying my Jeep is worth the extra gas 95% of the time)
I just got around to catching up on your vids. Thanks for the breakdown, food weights are one of my biggest struggles, mostly because I always seem to over pack and end up bringing stuff back home. You'd think I would have it dialed in by now, but I like a variety. I'm going to have to check out Packit sometime.
