I consider myself a warm sleeper and when I ordered this TQ I told Mac I wanted something for our warmer Southern climate. He told me he would make it out of 1/2" CS.
I have had it out a few times and I was fine down to 45. There was a night it got to 41 and around 4am I put a wool blanket on top just for a little more warmth but it would probably be doable to 40.
I sleep in thin, light clothing saving my thicker clothing for the last line of insulation if needed.

I'll be glad to make it thicker.

Climashield Apex 6.0 has a 2" loft which would be toasty well below freezing.

So is there only a shell on one side? Strongly considering getting one for summer.

Black nylon shell on the outside.
White nylon shell on the inside.
    Climashield in between.

Ahh in the pics it looked like there was bare clima since the inner shell is white. Thanks for clarifying

Looks like a good deal. Sure hope so, since I "suggested" one for my birthday in Jan. I'm real subtle about it. Sent email with link to bride sitting two feet away.

These Top Blankets are popular! It's a good time of year to get one...
