    EVA foam purchase

I recently purchased a pad extender from Arrowhead Equipment and am very impressed. Immediately after touching it my hand begins to warm up. It works really well with my 3/4 40 degree HG phoenix.

After looking at if for a little while i figured i would probably be able to find a decent source for ordering the material myself, and i did!

The company i work for deals a lot with a company named McMaster-Carr and i looked up EVA foam and bingo...

I received it today and it feels almost exactly the same. I'm going to spend the night with it this weekend and see how it works. The piece is pretty big too. Big enough to use as a partial length and use the Arrowhead as an extender.

I'll try it out in my Ridgerunner to start :-)

they have a few different thicknesses as well. I wonder if a 1/2" thk pad would take the Ridgerunner down to 0F?

This stuff is almost weightless as well!!!

JRB has the best price on this pad, and it's cut to the perfect 3/4 size.

Hot glue is a great way to weld pieces of EVA together. The heat of the glue actually melts the EVA a little and you get a very sturdy bond. Harbor Freight and Walmart are 2 very good resources for EVA in varying thicknesses.
