    I'm not sure I agree with the methodology since he's basically using a faucet on the suspensions. Rain doesn't fall like that. I think the Dutch whoopie hook and biners perform a lot better in actual rain than in the test. Informative, nevertheless.

    Most hardware like carabiners and cinch buckles you would think does the job to divert the water and prevent seepage, but water has a way of skipping past all that. Just make sure your drip line and any part of your suspension below the drip line, is under the tarp and isn't exposed to rain.

    Nothing is 100%. At 5:24 you can see the water getting past the hook and the drip line. This is an extreme flow of water using a hose, but still very possible in a downpour with added wind. I have always been fine using BB straps, but have had moisture issues with whoopies. Could have been a coincidence.

    it's just some diff ways to add a drip stop line to your hammock. it can also vary depending on the type of webbing or whatever else you use that the rain would be rolling down. i will definitely be adding a line to my setup just incase.
