Request for Boston area solo-hang location

Does anyone know where I can legally hang for one night within MBTA distance of Boston/Cambridge MA?

===> Hmmm....it's that 'legal' thing that has me stumped. Do you mean within walking distance of a train station?

Hmmm. You got me and we live in the city. If we had a yard you could hang but we only have a very small porch :0(

Yes, within walking distance of the T or rail lines.

The Minuteman is possible, and so is Cape Ann...both are 3-5 miles from the train, which would force me to lighten my pack for sure!

You can camp on several of the Boston Harbor Islands! http://www.bostonharborislands.org/go-camping The ferry to them is near the Aquarium, so quite accessible by T. I've camped on several of them, and although it was before I started looking at things from a "Can I hang a hammock here?" perspective, I remember there being plenty of trees. Note that they require reservations and that you need to pack in water for all of them except Peddocks.
