    This is my current setup

It's an equip hammock from walmart I will be putting camp wire gate biners on it tomorrow and I plan to order a set of atlas straps from rei for my kick around town and fast setup kit. I am going to make a whoopie setup and play with it but I want a better hammock to go with whoopie slings.

There are hammocks for all occasions! So just get out there and keep hangin
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......

Welcome to HF from Athens. Moding and experimenting with your gear is half the fun. Happy hanging.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

I just upgraded to black diamond nitron biners. I know it's way over kill but I have prankster that like to untie my slippery half hitch and watch me hit the ground during my hangs/naps . So webbing and lockers are my kick around town setup.

    Looks good!

When/if you're itching to try something new or different, I'd recommend making yourself a 11' gathered end. It's easy, fun, quick, and there are a few ways to do it; lots of tutorials here in the forums.

Most of us choose tarps that are about a foot longer than the hanging length of our hammocks. This means most will have a 10'-12' ridge line. The tarp you have now can be pitched corner to corner, which will reduce side coverage but give you a bit more overhead cover.

I love my Warbonnet Super Fly tarp over my 11' DIY gathered end hammock.
