how does everyone drink Coffee in the hammock??

Hi everyone. I usually can find all the answers to my questions on the forum. I love it and you guys have tons of info. I hang in my hammock that's setup in the garage every morning to drink my coffee. Well I noticed that theres no cup holder, and this morning I spilled my coffee because my dog started flipping out at the neighbor!! So my question is how does everyone drink there coffee while in the hammock at home or in the field?

    Thanks for all the info!!!!

I use an Infinity Backpacker Mug by GSI that has a lid. Doesn't eliminate the chance for a spill but if it does spill it minimizes the amount that comes out if you recover the mug quickly.

I like to use my camp stool as a night stand while in the hammock, makes a nice coffee table too.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

how does everyone drink Coffee in the hammock??

On a short trip I bring my Contigo. No spills!

I normally have either my insulated MSR mug with lid or my ti mug. Just depends on type of trip.

    I hold on tight.

I'm with Trail Runner on the GSI Infinity mug, best piece of light weight luxury gear I carry. The new model has a really solid flip top that won't leak a drop.

I also hang close to the ground so I can just reach out and set things on the ground.

My favorite thing to do. Here's how I do it. I don't drink coffee with my dog in my lap. That's just a given.

In the field, I don't. I'm usually the one getting up early to make the fire for others. Then I can make my coffee after the fire is made and hot water put on for others.

I haven't at home either. I save my fuel for trips. Microwave gets the water hot very fast.

Generally it's easier to sit up in the hammock.

I lie down waiting for it to finish,

then I sit up in the hammock and enjoy..

    ...and yeah, what OutandBack said..

Like FloridaHanger, I don't drink coffee - or anything else, for that matter - in my hammock, either the home one or on the trail. What I use is an Oxi-Clean container, which doubles as the freezer-bag food cooker, too.
