update* the hammock is going well, I had to wait to start because of the ordering problems, but this last weekend I made good progress. still need to design and make some tent pole ends. I ordered the 1.8oz ACU digital from DIYgearsupply.com $3.85 a yard. half of quest's $6.30 a yard for 1.9oz plain colors.

I've been wanting to order the materials for my DIY bridge but i've been slacking. I'll be going with the Hikingdad design as well. can't wait to see how yours turns out.

Instead of using dog bones on my suspension triangle, Just made 1 really long dog bone to connect to both corner rings. The mid point of dog bone gets girth hitched to a third descending ring. This way if there needs to be some adjustment in the suspension triangle length, I can move the mid point girth hitch a little to one side as needed.

Have fun making your bridge hammock and post pictures along the way.

I tried a single dogbone, and found that it slipped in the girth hitch when I put more pressure on one side of the hammock than the other (when getting in and out). Two dogbones makes more sense to me.
