I react to scented dryer sheets. Someone earlier asked if the non-scented ones work as well or work at all as the scented ones. Has anyone tried one? Inquiring minds...

Man, dryer sheets (even the unscented ones) make me really sick. Asthma, running nose, itching eyes, and a migraine if I'm around them for more than a couple of minutes.

I wish the EPA would classify THEM as a carcinogen so people would stop using them near me.

My backyard OAK trees have what I call Guard ants. They are only on the oak trees (I hang from 2 of 3) When I hang from the Elm & Locust, or the Ginkgo & the Plum, the ants arn't a problem. In fact, as I have been hanging nearly every night for over 1.5 years, the ants don't come on/in the hammock anymore even when I'm on the Oaks. I still see them patroling the trees, but they now leave my hammock alone. I suppose they are used to it & don't find it a problem anymore. There was ONE on my tarp this morning, I left her alone to explore.

Anyway, if they are a real problem, consider changing trees. It MAY work, simply by moving off the home tree(s).

*Note: Ginkgos (the trees with the fan shaped leaves) have really soft bark, I have not hung from mine in over a year & there is still a mark (scar?) on the bark.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.

i will let you know how the Permethrin on the suspension goes tomorrow.

Got a date with my hammock on the lake.....and I know the ants are waiting.

    It's ok to respond 10 years later....no?
